LONDON FOOD TECH WEEK 2016

London Food Tech Week 2016 was jam-packed with sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the future of food. With 83 insightful events across 27 different Central London venues, including The Tower of London, the Shard and an urban farm nestled 33 metres below Clapham Station, we had A LOT to talk about.

We launched our first YFood Talks Series, in which William Sitwell discussed the way the food system has developed over the last 4000 years in his keynote speech ‘A Brief History of Food’.

John Quilter, aka The Food Busker took over the Ace Hotel in an engaging day that featured the dream team from the Jamie Oliver Group, Jamie Spafford of SORTEDfood and chefs Elizabeth Allen and Tim Anderson to discuss how to keep customers engaged in an age of content overload.

We ran Pitching Breakfasts to find the first startup to take part in Just Eat’s inaugural Food Tech Accelerator Programme.

We sipped on insect-infused cocktails and nibbled on delicious insect-based snacks at the world’s first Insect Bar which was featured in BBC News, ITV and the Evening Standard. And so much more!
