Join us in London on Wednesday 22 Novemeber, as we host Neil Rankin, chef, restaurateur, science graduate, sustainable ingredient obsessive and Co-Founder and Creative Director of Symplicity Foods, which has a zero-waste ethos and helps the Food & Drink Industry reduce their reliance on meat with incredible plant-based foods.


YFood Tech Wednesdays are designed to facilitate learning from Founders who have gone further ahead, as well as to support discussion, inspiration, and support for startups and those interested in setting-up and partnering with Food Tech businesses.


Neil Rankin is a pioneer of London’s high-end barbecue scene and a global authority on meat cookery, who cut his teeth in fine-dining kitchens before heading up top London restaurants including John Salt and Smokehouse. A cookbook author, columnist and Observer Food Monthly Award winner, most recently Neil opened three Temper restaurants in the capital.


Temper’s focus on sustainability led to Symplicity - a project which grew from Neil’s experiments with fermented vegetables, proving that plant-based ‘meats’ could still taste incredible without ultra processed ingredients. Symplicity’s products - are now served by Michelin starred chefs and in high end restaurants and catering including Gordon Ramsay, The Ivy, Butcombe Brewery, Dishoom, Bleecker Burger and Virgin Atlantic Upper-Class lounges.


This is an opportunity to forge meaningful connections within the Food Tech ecosystem. You'll have the chance to engage in a high-energy, real and collaborative Q&A session, followed by plenty of networking and community building.
